World Access was looking to build a Web site and an application to meet the contractual obligations of their largest client. The application had to provide an online mechanism for delivering many off-line call center services to customers and clients. It also needed to provide international healthcare, news and security articles and alerts to customers and clients.
In addition, World Access required the ability to modify and filter third-party content and ensure nightly publication of content and data updates from legacy AS/400 systems.
Ironworks designed and built an application to meet the contractual obligations of World Access’ largest client. The application transformed many of World Access’ traditional off line, call center capabilities into enhanced online tools, easily customized for future clients. Taking advantage of industry leading content management solutions, Ironworks delivered an application that provides pre-trip information to customers including a proprietary listing of international in-network healthcare providers and facilities, security and healthcare alerts for travel destinations, emergency telephone numbers and local currency and weather information.
Ironworks also developed an XML data transfer mechanism to communicate with several third-party content providers such as YellowBrix and ARC Risk Management. Acknowledging the importance of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), the delivered product allows for ‘content roll back’ capabilities should it be necessary to provide a version of the Web site from any date in the past since launch.
