Ironworks evaluated alternative solutions for providing a content management infrastructure. Based on AMF's CMS requirements and their desire to continue to utilize the existing portal server for content delivery, Interwoven Teamsite was selected.
Ironworks worked with AMF to quickly identify their requirements surrounding business process management, content capture framework, asset delivery paths, and presentation delivery requirements in order to conform to JDE Portal standards. In less than a month, Ironworks performed the software install and delivered the following:
- Domain authentication integration
- Three data capture templates
- 12 presentation templates - for JDE Portal delivery
- Two workflows
- Branching architecture
- Security architecture
- A generalized metadata capture schema and deployed the solution to AMF's production environment
AMF realized the following results:
- Content contribution process is greatly streamlined
- Overhauled content contribution process while retaining customer-friendly JD Edwards Portal application for delivery.
- Business content owners empowered to control their own content removing IT from the equation
- IT resources freed to work on more strategic initiatives
- Greatly reduced time and effort for content deployment to multiple environments via automated workflow
