Ironworks’ Tysons Corner office serves the firm’s growing customer base in Northern Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C. Ironworks continues to experience a steady increase in demand for a broad range of IT consulting services, including Web design and development, enterprise portal, program management and service-oriented architecture. The award-winning firm recently completed work on an eKnowledge solution for Washington, D.C.-based association The American Institute of Architects (AIA). AIA Soloso™ (soloso.aia.org) will enhance online collaboration and communication within AIA’s membership base.
Whaite will oversee the firm’s business development and new client acquisition activities in the Greater Washington, D.C. region. With more than 10 years of experience, Whaite has broad knowledge of the technology solutions and services industry. “Dan is a seasoned business development executive who brings with him the ability to successfully establish and support new client relationships. He also has deep experience and knowledge around understanding the key business drivers of an organization and delivering supporting and enabling technologies to assist those drivers,” said Andy Wolff, co-manager of the Tysons Corner office. “He is a welcomed addition to our organization and allows us to better serve our current and future customers throughout the Greater Washington, D.C. region.”
Whaite joins Ironworks from EMC Corporation, where he oversaw commercial channel relationships in the Washington, D.C. region. Prior to that, he managed the regional commercial business for Endeca Technologies, Inc., where he established a certified partner relationship with Ironworks. Whaite, who graduated cum laude from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, also served in software implementation and sales roles for Corvis Corporation and Parametric Technology Corporation.
